My Favorite Fashion Movie : The Devil Wears Prada

Are you a fashion addict? If so, you must have watched the movie that I'd like to share with you below, with some facts that you might haven't known about the movie. So, without further ado, let's get to the topic.

THE DEVIL WEARS PRADA

Sounds familiar? Yes, The Devil Wears Prada is my favorite fashion comedy movie ever. My pretty sister recommended the novel (before I watched the movie), and after I open the novel I can't stop reading it! The next day, after work I went to the DVD store and bought the movie. That day I didn't feel well, but I don't care, I have to watch the movie immediately, I was so obsessed haha. I knew it was a little too late to watch it because The Devil Wears Prada was released in 2006 and I watched it in 2009 ;p.

The Devil Wears Prada tells about Andrea "Andy" Sachs (Anne Hathaway), which is a fresh graduate from Northwestern who wants to work as a journalist. But, her destiny brings her to work at a famous fashion magazine as a junior assistant for Miranda Priestly (Meryl Streep).

Everybody would die for that job because it's a dream job to become Miranda Priestly's assistant. Meanwhile, Andy has been sarcasm the fashion industry, because she thinks that fashion industry is ridiculous.

She takes the job as a stepping stone for her to become a journalist. As long as become a junior assistant, Andy has always been bullied because of her old-fashion style, especially with Emily Charlton (Emily Blunt), Miranda's senior assistant.

But, with help of Nigel (Stanley Tucci) the art director, Andy learns to be responsible for her works and look more stylish as a commitment to her job.

Day by day, Andy starts to enjoy her work as a junior assistant at that fashion magazine. But, it can be denied that the job takes her time. Moreover, the pressure from Miranda on her.

One of the ridiculous things is Miranda was requested Andy to get Harry Potter's novel script which has not been established edition for Miranda's twin daughter. HAHA

With so much work to do, Andy doesn't have time for her boyfriend Nate (Adrian Grenier), so their relationship becomes drained.

So, can Andy survive under Miranda's pressure? Find it by yourself ;p

Before she writes the novel, she worked at a popular fashion magazine, can you guess? yes, she worked at VOGUE and became Anna Wintour's junior assistant for 11 months after graduating from college. Lauren also became a cameo in the movie.

- The newest update is Anne Hathaway meets Anna Wintour at Michael Kors, NYFW 2023. Anne Hathaway looks wearing a similar style as her character in the movie, Andy.
